Working Principle (Slot Type)

The Slot Type Wood Peeling Machine operates based on the friction and cutting action of rotating peeling tools within an open trough (the “slot”):

2. Inside the trough, multiple horizontal shafts equipped with specialized peeling teeth or cutters begin to rotate at high speed.
3. As the wood pieces make contact with these rotating cutters, the bark is effectively stripped away through a combination of friction, impact, and cutting.
4. The logs tumble and move along the length of the trough (driven by the rotation and potentially a slight incline or pushing action from incoming logs).
5. The removed bark typically falls through openings in the bottom of the trough onto a conveyor below for collection.
6. Clean, peeled logs exit from the discharge end of the machine.
