Product Introduction
The PG Double Roller Crusher (also known as a Double Roll Crusher) is a specialized machine used for the medium and fine crushing of materials. It is applicable for materials with medium hardness, such as limestone, slag, coke, coal, and clinker.
This machine is widely used in industrial sectors such as cement, chemicals, electric power, metallurgy, and building materials. It is particularly favored in the coal industry because it produces minimal dust and has a low rate of “over-crushing”. According to customer needs, this machine can be equipped with a hydraulic system for easier gap adjustment and overload protection.
Working Principle
The machine operates using two cylindrical rollers mounted horizontally on parallel axes, driven by dual motors rotating in opposite directions.
- Feeding: Material is fed from the top into the V-shape crushing chamber between the two rollers.
- Crushing: The friction force pulls the material down, where it is squeezed and crushed by high pressure.
- Discharge: The crushed material is discharged from the bottom.
- Adjustment: The gap between the two rollers determines the discharge size. This can be adjusted via a mechanical wedge/gasket or by the optional hydraulic cylinders.

- Advanced: Hydraulic system adjustment. The hydraulic option allows for quick, automatic adjustment of the roller gap and provides automatic pressure relief (protection) if uncrushable material enters.
- Low Over-Crushing Rate:
Unlike hammer crushers that impact materials, roller crushers use specific squeezing pressure. This results in significantly less powder/dust generation and a more uniform particle size, which is crucial for coking coal and chemical production. - Handles Wet/Sticky Material:
Because there is no grate bottom, it handles materials with higher moisture content better without clogging. - Dual Motor Drive:
Equipped with two powerful motors to drive each roller independently, providing strong and stable crushing force. - Simple & Reliable:
